so i need to get a new laptop
What advice can u guys give me, is mac very different from windows, is there a right click, what about piracy and viruses and torrents
any info would help me decide........

No its not that different from windows , some things are a little different but heh.
You can right click with a mouse , but most of the time there is no need
Ive had my macbook for 18 months now , no viruses

One last question
a friend of mine just picked up a mac and for some reason my "unoficial" DVD dont work on it
is there some kind of sensor on the super drive or is it just hers thats acting up
EDIT
What is the winscp equivalent for mac, so that i can brows iphone files and drag to copy files

winscp = Fugu + terminal
for what i have experienced.... is just hers.

You can use Cyberduck (free, http://cyberduck.ch/), Fugu (free, http://rsug.itd.umich.edu/software/fugu/download.html), Transmit (30$, http://www.panic.com/transmit/) to SFTP into the iPhone instead of WinSCP on the Mac.
To SSH via commad line use Terminal, the app comes with the OS-DVD.
BTW: Maybe I dont get the question, but a new Mac always comes with Mac-OS X full version.

i was wondering the same thing, no point starting a new threat.. whats a good mac lap top to buy? i know nothing about macs i used one once years ago in a net cafe and hated it.. but now i have a iphone it would be nicer to use mac with iphone and have it as a backup lap top for the iphone
which mac lap top would you guys advise, also the os system what does it use? is it like windows xp/vista ? if so whats the best one?
