As far as I'm aware the Sony External BluRay drive works with OS/X, however, if you are looking to play retail movies using it you may encounter a problem. To my knowledge Mac OS is incapable of playing RETAIL BR movies due to a DRM issue, unencrypted personal movies (such as those from HD camcorders) recorded to BR should work fine however.

Glad to help... thanks for the thumbs up

i think where to put your video files is a personal choice. I created a folder named Videos under my user directory

congratulations on your new great aquisition!!!!

torrent clients: transmission, tomato torrent, vezu torrent (formerly known as azureus)

video converter: xilisoft video converter for mac, isquint or visualhub

maybe u have an issue with perian... try to install vlc player and check if u have the same problem..... also your friend's mac may have GMA950 graphics ... that could be a reason but idk...dont take my word on this

if u need any help... just ask.

I've had my MBP for one year now and it has crashed twice, both times the crash report referenced Norton Antivirus. Needless to say I removed it and hopefully won't be seeing that curtain come down again. It is just un-natural to see a Mac crash.
