Super confused - its just episodes of scrubs (avi format) that iv burnt onto a DVD and also a couple of DVDs that iv made a copy of using my windows

The main thing is to make sure you get the superdrive [DVD +RW D/L ] and not the combo.

but will i be able to use my dvds with avi coz my 500 GB hard disk got wet in the rain and i dont have any other back ups and will be waiting for my parents to go the us get me a one TB
In india external hard disks are insane almost $500 for a 320 GB

Vmware and Parellels are the best..
i am using mac since 2 years.. and its great compared to windows..
and by the way there r great list of pirated softwares avaialble even for mac..

i suggest using vmware and many people r using it..

I told you.... install the perian plugin for quicktime and you will be able to play xvid files.... or install vlc for that matter.... VLC player FTW....

For an External HDD i would recommend u to get this one

i understood what u were saying about perian plug in, my problem is that i have these DVDs that have avi on it that my friends MacBook is not reading??!!!
will i have the same problem

A MacBook with a superdrive????

Has any one else face this problem

maybe its only hers cuz i have all smallville seasons on divx and i can play them with no problems using my macbook pro. if u get a chance u should try in another mac.
