Guys, (and girls) has anybody experienced this as well and fixed it?...

My iphone 2g fell into water and I was able to fix it by opening it all up, taking it apart, and drying it. After two hours, I rebooted it, to find it seemed perfect! But, the power/standby/sleep button was inoperable. Assuming it was a software issue (due to my apps freezing up and closing) I decided to reboot. IDIOT! I am not able to get in DFU mode without power button... SOOOO I did a rag-tag jailbreak with blackra1n and bootneuter without entering DFU. SOMEHOW, I finally got the phone unlocked and jailbroken (2 days). BUT, here is my issue. Although I dont care that the power button is broken, it causes issues:

1. Upon letting the phone autolock, if one was to let the phone sit idle for a couple minutes, the phone starts a limitless cycle of rebooting itself.

2. To break the cycle, I must plug the phone in.

3. Upon plugging phone in, the lock screen appears and the banner for "Slide to power off" comes up and I hit cancel.

Bam! That is everything. PLEASE help if you experienced this before and somehow fixed it...
