[2.0 hardware unlock]Came across this hardware unlock method
I searched for this link and nothing came back so sorry if it was already posted
Someone in Brazil has developed a SIM card hardware unlock that tricks the phone into thinking it's operating on the correct carrier:
http://gizmodo.com/5025249/iphone-3g...m-card-adapter
"Our procedure consist in using one SIM adapter to simulate a fake IMSI test card. Instead of the AT&T IMSI like in the universals."
No info on availability of this SIM adaptor yet.

Third...
The method isnt confirmed to be absolutely working. I believe that GSMVN team in Vietnam has it working without a problem. But thats not the case with the Brazilian team or with Zf. It also largely depends on who you believe in etc....not saying one is wrong over the other..its just that we are trying to get more than 1 person confirmed with it absolutely working- no that does not include the Brazilians.

Doesn't mean I'm hurt
Doesn't mean I didn't get what I deserve
No better and no worse "

Oh, I think Sean Copper from ENGADGET has TESTED this in his OWN iPhone 3G for a couple of hours without problems.
Scan? I donīt think so...

Uh, I'm not trying to sell anything. Don't you think if I had that I wouldn't be waiting for PwnageTool to get my AT&T 2.5G phone working on Rogers(which is now working yay). I live far from Brazil and just came across this story and posted it. Also I searched for the link to that website but the search didn't turn up anything.

Hi, I also read (don't remember where) that it was supposed to be an expensive solution (around US$ 300 to US$ 400).

Not really N41, it is still in the work ...
Signal still drops on occasions when moving from cell to cell.
No perfect solution YET on any piggy sims...
Anyone looking at this should be reading the x-SIM, turboSIM section on the forum.
Most importantly, read the sticky threads by Zf_
