MY ADVICE - DON'T do the hardward unlock. even if you're competent (as I am) with hardware, just loosing the network connection will screw your phone. Wait a few more days like I should have!

Same problem here, I do advice NOT to try the H/W unlock, now i have a phone that can only be restored to 1.1.3, which makes it useless.

use ibrickr to install mobileterminal and finish the downgrade from there.
Otherwise you will be with a un-jailbreakable, wifi-less, brick.

Hi there. I'm about to try this. But in many replies is said, you need to solder.. But as given in the startpost:

The needle method is a slightly simpler alternative to soldering. The point is, that line A17 needs to be connected to a voltage source.
