Will this work?
Hi! I want to start a hackintosh build. Here are the parts I will have;
Gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 Mobo
Core i7 930
Corsair xms3 ddr3-1333 6GB ram (3x2gb)
GIGABYTE RADEON 6870
Will the mobo work well, and are there 6800 drivers for mac yet? Also, which method would be easiest to dual boot 7 and Snow Leopard? I am a total noob in hackintoshes so idk what a kernel is, etc, so you'd have explain

EASIEST method? download a distro.
if you want the BEST, and most reliable method, install retail. go out, buy yourself a copy of Snow Leopard at Best Buy.. its only 30 bucks. then download boot-132, or empire EFI, whichever you have more luck with. install it, then run apple update, then before rebooting, install the post install file. you may have to do a couple more odd little tasks, but thats about the essence of it.
and about the radeon 6870.... who knows. im looking into that one for myself as well.. planning on building a hackintosh come tax season, would like it to be powered by the 6870... but if i must, then it will be a GTX460.
you have an i7 processor. you will be using vanilla kernel. a kernel is what tells the operating system what to do.
Intel core 2 quad q6600 2.4ghz
ASUS P4K motherboard
4GB DDR2-800
eVGA GEFORCE 9800gtx
500GB Western Digital black SATA
2x250GB
OSX SNOW LEOPARD 10.6.8
OSX LION 10.7
Windows 7 64 bit
Windows 8 dev. Preview 64 bit (SUCKS!!)
