Just found the HCL (Brilliant btw ) It says my mobo, cpu and gfx card are all compatible (unless i'm seeing something wrong)...yet when i installed it, it obviously doesn't like something. Anybody want to recommend me a distro, I'm thinking i must have picked the wrong driver options in the customization, so, anybody want to advise me which driver options to pick when installing (atm i have iAtkos 5i) But i can get any, which ever will be easiest to get working lol.

*Edit*- Also, do i have to change any settings in the bios?, i have seen things mentioning achpi (or something lol) for sata hard drives. Also, can someone clarify how i would format the partition for OSX , i'm formatting it as something something journaled, is this right?

    Thanks

Seems great man, you can download a distro and try like iPC or iAtkos, or even try Retail version, good luck

I also have tried iPC, and iAtkos, neither of them would work...it said "waiting for root device" when i started it up in verbose mode. I'm really not sure what the problem is :/

Here a guide with some useful links..

mobo: GA-P35-S3G, 2gb ram, sata HD, IDE afaik (haven't checked) DVDRW.
Core2Duo 2.2 CPU, both cores working
GFX card: ASUS EN7300GT SILENT, 256 mb RAM, DDR2

OSX 10.5.4, vanilla kernel works fine!
    reboot, shut down, sleep works
ci / qe works with ease, no fiddling necessary
    DVDR works (fingers crossed)
    LAN works
Audio works (2 channel + mic). Master adjustment of volume with ALC662 drivers not possible (but drivers are evolving). With built in Azaila drivers it is, but then your mic does not work.
    PS2 works
    USB2 works
    HP Pavilion Elite m9250f

Thanks for the help, i have managed to get it installed I had to install it on a separate physical hard drive, rather than a partition.

Everything works great, except sound, and i will use the drivers posted in that guide to fix that hopefully lol ^^

Hi, sorry to be a pain again lol, but i think i have a problem, i installed os x, got the sound working, everything's fine, i download a video and mplayer, to play it, but it's very laggy when i make it full screen, and temperamental at the best of times (if i move it, it lags, re size it, it lags etc) And i had a look in the "more info" section of "about this mac"

Here is what it says about my graphics card- It's an 8800gt with 512mb of vram, yet it only says 256 :/ any ideas?
