    Default Will my gaming PC run hackintosh? MSI X48

    Bought me a gaming PC 'bout a year ago. These are the rough specs:
    * Mainboard - MSI x48
    * Screencard - GeForce 9800GTX
    * CPU - Intel Q6600

    Is there a mac build compatible with there components? In which case, which one?

    How does the whole macintosh installation work? What must be done before i can insert the disk and install osx?

    Thanks a million for any replies

    Well iPC have lots of drivers, lots of them! is 10.5.6 ready, maybe everything you need is there, theres a Double Layer version around, about iAtkos, is a lil complicated, you can read about it in the official site, the version released is 10.5.5, but you can update with software update like a real mac, without any problem, dont need to use any scripts... they both looks like really stable versions.

    There lots of versions out there ideneb 10.5.6, XXX 10.5.6, etc

    You can choose w/e you want, good luck

    Ok, sounds like i'll be going with iPC.

    Now, is it as easy as downloading the iso torrent, burning it and booting from it?

    Or do i need to do some fancy bios flash shit

    EDIT: Is it also safe to install it to a 20GB partition for testing?

    Well Im not sure if you need a fancy bios flash shiet, you need to post your full specs, Motherboard model, and chipset, etc

    About the files, yeah you can get it, in your favorite site, burn them using nero or another program in slow speed.

    For dual boot you can check the FAQ link in my signature or go to dual boot forum, good luck
