You can always do it by yourself just installing OSX retail and you make your own DSDT file

Would it be possible to backup my current installation, install from retail, then restore to my current installation?
I'd hate to have to install all separate drivers all over again, having to track them down from the internet

If you will install in another HDD, you can migrate your stuff but if you gonna use the same one, forget about that :x

It's been about 8 months since i alerted OMN of my problem. Do you think he'll get around to it soon?

I've been unable to try your retail idea due to a severe lack of dual layered DVDs.

This is what has happened since i was here last:

I was playing around with the dsl file and happened to remove all the "alias" lines in the top of the file. I compiled and applied it, and to my surprise i could use all 4 cores. A few months later after a complete purge of the HDD and reset of the BIOS, i am back trying to install OSX. I am now stuck at the exact point i were during my last post in this thread.

I've tried my wondrous dsdt fix, but there were no "alias" lines in the file, so there was nothing for me to remove. Now I'm stuck with 1 core once again.

Any help on the matter would be great.
