Hi Everyone,

I'm completely new to this whole Hackintosh thing. I have the opportunity to get my hands on an i7-2600k and an Intel DZ68DB LGA1155 Motherboard for a combined $260. Pretty sweet, right? I know that the 2600K is compatible with OS Lion but everybody on here seems to have Gigabyte boards. The iBoot+ Multibeast page says that it's compatible with every build. However, the intel motherboard doesn't have a DSDT (though I would be lying if I said I understood exactly what that means) on the DSDT page, so I don't know if I could get full functionality out of it.

My current system is as follows. I would be replacing the CPU and Motherboard with the 2600k and the Intel DZ68DB and getting an SSD for Lion. As an additional question, does anyone know how smoothly I could transition my current version of windows (and all the data on my HDD)? I'm planning on dual-booting. Ah, I'm probably just in way over my head...
