Default what makes hardware good for Hackintosh

can anyone tell me what makes the components good for a Hackintosh? I am new to mack world and want to build my own....as I am cheap . are there limitations? ie: a guy here at work said that his Mac is limited to a 1TB Harddrive, is this typical of all mac OS's or can you have mulitple hard drives ie (1 500GB and a 1TB) I wanted to thank icchansan for all the info on the hardware sticky, but I am the type of person that would like to understand before I dive in head first....sorry and thanks!

    Bobby

I did check the sticky and saw that there were recommendations for hardware, I read about 4 or 1700 pages of it . I am just wondering what it is about the components you have chose that makes them good for a 'Hack' I am choosy and understand obviously intel, asus (not bad) but is there other specifics, something about sata Cd I saw? I am retarded and need guidance please forgive me. i just want to understand what and why.

Yeh I post those combos cuz they gonna work without problem, we try to use com that actually are in real macs, that one is a fool proof post, we can help you to choose your components but you have to do your homework too, so post w/e you like to put in your system, check the HCL or just google it before posting eh
