soundproblem AC97+USB SOUND
hey guys.. after a full weak of getting leopard installed, i'm getting frustrated.
i managed it to install and run pretty good. the only thing, that doenst want to work is my sound.
i almost tried every method and kext to get it to work. voodoo hda doenst work either. it says "Cant enter registry-path". then "cant access I/O".
im running this motherboard: VIA k8t800 North Bridge + VT8237 South Bridge.
if i go to the sound preference, theres no ouput or input showing up.
system profiler says @ audio : no audio built-in... but my mobo has a onboard soundcard^^
i plugged in a pci soundcard and checked systemprofiler in the pci section. it doesnt detect anything.
so i bought a usb soundstick and plugged it in. the system profiler does find it the @usb section and says:
Product ID: 0xf211
Vendor ID: 0x1130 (Tenx Technology, Inc.)
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Location ID: 0x70200000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)
but i cant find the stick in the sound preferences.
AUDIO MIDI UTIL. says:
Default Ouput: Unknown Device
Default Input: Unknown Device
Audio Input: Not Supported
Audio Output: Not Supported
i cant switch or change anything.
now i reinstalled everything without audio drivers. i hope you guys might help me. i'm really getting crazy
