Hi, im new to the forum so not entirely sure if this is where im best posting this, however here goes anyhow. Essentially i have an old 17inch alluminium Powerbook G4 but unfortunately it was one of the faulty screen models. I looked into repairing it but instead opted to get a new macbook pro. However, i find myself downloading films and connecting my macbook up to my tv to watch them and thought what if I could just use my old powerbook, then I thought what if i could remove the screen and simply use the keyboard base as a sort of pc for my TV. I'v built basic pc's so im no virgin to playing around with electronics but at the same time im not confident enough to modify existing plans for screen replacement so wanted to seek some help and see what people thought of such a plan.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
