Problems installing on HP DV2840SE
Hey all. First post here and already it's about a problem.
Anyway, I've got an HP dv2840se laptop (an entertainment laptop with the special edition finish) and the Kaly-something or other DVD. When I boot the DVD, the only disk it recognizes is my external one, not the internal disk I set up just for it. I was wondering if there was a BIOS setting I had to change or a utility I had to run (in either Windows Vista/7 or Ubuntu Linux) to get the install CD to recognize my hard drive.
For your consideration, my Laptop's stats:
AMD Turion dual-core 64 bit processor
nVidia GeForce 7150M/nForce 630M (128mb dedicated graphics memory)
Toshiba MK2546GSX ATA device (Probably about 300 gigabytes)
BTW, that hard drive is split into three standard partitions and three logical partitions. The scheme is:
partition one: Windows 7
Partition two: Ubuntu Linux root drive
Partition Three: Linux home folder (ext3)
Partition Four: empty NTFS drive (the one I set up for OSX)
Partition Five: Swap
Partition Six: actually a system restore disk for Windows Vista in a partition. Some new thing HP is doing.
4 gigabytes of Ram
Broadcom 43xx wireless chip
a dvd drive that reads and writes everything but blu-ray discs.
nVidia chipset (ethernet, usb controllers, sound card, etc.)
Thanks in advance for the help!
EDIT: I have more information. When I try to install on my external hard drive, it gives me this message:
Mac OSX could not be installed on your computer.
The installer could not install some files in "/Volumes/*volume name*".
Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

hmm I think the problem here can be the nforce thingy, try with ideneb and patch the distro with nForce Patch, in this thread explain how to use it and where to download

I'll try that. Got the torrent running now.
EDIT: Tried it, and it still didn't recognize my hard drive. Also, the iDeneb distro doesn't recognize my wireless card, but the Kalyway does.
