Video Editing Hackintosh Build
So im a pro video editor and use Avid and FCP day to day. I havent been able to take at home jobs because of the whole HD editing situation on my older MBP. Anyway I've been looking into a hackintosh build. After lots of research this is what Ive come up with. Any feedback on this would be Greatly appreciated.
Gigabyte Intel Z68 ATX DDR3 2133 LGA 1155 Motherboard GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Link
Intel Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz 6 MB Cache Socket LGA1155 Processor Link
Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM Link
I could use some input on Memory though. Whats the best bet with this build? Id guess getting 16 gb is smart, but Im a bit out of the game on what the best would be.
Was thinking CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M4X1600C9 Link
GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA Series GV-R685OC-1GD Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity Link
This video card seems to have an amazing reputation with the hackintosh world, and it seems Avid plays nice with it also.
Thanks for any input, Im sure in my hackintosh experience I will learn/share lots of stuff.
