Using a TS-L632 laptop cd-drive potential issues?
Hi. I've been reading a lot gathering info for my first build which happens to be into a powermac g3 case, and I'm wondering if there might be any issues using the TS-L632 which comes in a lot of windows laptops, one of them being the hp dv9000. I've read about people doing hackintosh hp dv9000's and cd burning not working for them.
You can't use a regular drive because it hits the ram as seen here.
2 - The Optical Drive Problem
Would there be a different laptop cd drive that's more compatible? I suppose I could use a slot loader but then I'd have to cut the front of my case and the bay opening button wouldn't work so they tray loader seems simpler. I also want to stick an sdcard reader/ usb plug thing in drive bay opening too.
thanks for any help.
