Radeon 7500 Mobility on T42
I've been experimenting with Kalyway and iAtkos installs of Leopard on my T42 with some success. iAtkos gave me the ACPI / buffer freeze on boot which I tried to fix with the 10.4.8 version of AppleACPIplatform.kext but no success. So now I'm going back to Kalyway 10.5.1 which works fine but without support for my Radeon 7500 32meg built in card. I can't upgrade without a kernel panic grey freeze, even before I get a chance to drag the unwanted files to the trash.. but anyways I know I saw a way somewhere to edit the cards values so the system sees it's proper buffer and memory size.. I read that this card was better supported in tiger there must be a away around getting this thing to playing back DVD's and having acceleration of some sort. Any suggestions?
Additionaly I followed jharleman's guide at http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.p...opic=74360&hl= under "networking" for geting the Atheros based IBM 11a/b/g to work but still nothing. He says I might have to rename eth1 to eth0 but I don't know where that is done. I did ioreg -l | grep pci168c and I get "compatible" = <pci17ab,8331","pci168c,1014","pciclass,020$
so does that mine I have the 1014 ?
