Hackintosh for a Stuido
So I've had a MacBook Pro for about 3 years now and really only use it for my recording studio however I'm running out of power and need something more like a MacPro but I'm not in a position to spend that much money for one. A hackintosh is a good option for me but I need to make sure it will run all my studio software. I am currently running Pro Tools 7.4, Logic 8 and have multiple software synths and plug ins. Any thoughts? Anyone already have an awesome machine/parts list that would be powerful enough for my studio?
I would love to know as well. I also want to build a hackintosh for my studio
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ESL2
Processor: Core 2 Duo E2200
Video: Nvidia 7300 GS, 8600 GT
Memory: 2GB RAM DDR2
Hard Drive: 1x300GB 7200 rpm
Power Supply 350/450w
DVDRW Serial ATA
Could that setup run Logic, protools and finalcut smoothly?
I'm personally going to be looking at 4GB of memory. I have 2GB now and with larger sessions in Pro Tools I tend to have issues. I guess no one else wants to answer us though so I guess I'll have to do some diving into this forum more.
ohh yeah i wanted to run about 3gigs of ram in my system.. just wanna know if it will run those programs b4 i go ahead and start building
