AM2 Motherboard

Does anyone know of an AM2 motherboard that works flawlessly?

EDIT: I'm new with all this. I was hoping for a mac mini update at macworld 09 but never got it, so i want to build a cheap computer that will run OSX leopard. Any help would be appreciated.

AM2? this is for AMD system right? they are a pain in the arse, you better try with Gigabyte mobos, get away from nforce chipsets and intel processor ftw

AM2 is the socket that AMD processors use, so yeah. I was going to go with AMD bcuz they have cheaper processors. Whats the difference between AMD and Intel for OSX anyways?

Intel

- 2gigs of ram (have spare ram)
- an 80GB IDE drive (i have laying around) [might pick up a sata)

AMD

Would either of these systems work? I'd perfer the AMD one bcuz its 40bucks cheaper. :P but, if the Intel one would work better, then whatever.

AMD Need Patched kernels, AMD patches, cant install retail, is a pain in the arse and most distros are for intel.

I am using a biostar TA790 GX A2+ Mobo i guess it depends on your setup. Everything i have works flawlessly but i had to buy a sound card there is no way to get the sound card in this mobo to work. I just bought a sound blaster live and patched it. it cost me like 5 bucks. Also depends on what video card you have. I have a sapphire hd 3870 and that was an ass pain to patch but it is fully working now. It seems geforce cards are easier to get working. Eveything in my system works fine tho i am also using an amd athlon 64 dual core 3.1 ghz cpu by the way if you want to know anything else or need any help let me know. By the Way i used iPC 10.5.6 this worked the best out of any distro for me. i Deneb was completley incompatible

I have Biostar TA790GX3 A2+, one SATA HDD, one IDE HDD, IDE DVDDrive
and "Steel waiting for root device" message.
BIOS settings? IDE DVD? AHCI? Tnx!
