    Default Please review my components

First of all, thanks for this great forum and all the information sharing. After spending considerable time on this and other forums, I am planning to put together a machine with the following spec:

    Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3P
    Processor: Core2Quad Q8660
    Video: ASUS GeForce 9400 512 MB DDR2 or EVGA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB DDR3( I am not a gamer)
    4GB RAM
    500 Gb HDD
    DVD-RW

Could you please review my components and give advice on the components? My main issue is with deciding on the video card. Basically, I need to get a decent video card that is most compatible with leopard. I am planning to do a retail DVD install(thanks for the great guide here).

    thanks

    Default DDR3 + GA-EP45-UD3P = no go

    The GA-EP45-UD3P is a DDR2 board. GA-EP45T-UD3P is the DDR3-friendly, though I haven't seen anything on whether it'd be hackintosh-friendly.
