I Recently purchased an HP P6242f and it came with that motherboard I've tried three different distros mixed results.

Ideneb 10.5.8 lite edition, installs perfectly, but fails to boot with using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster error message. AHCI Enabled,Re-installed and used different options (played around with it them most)

iATKOS V7 10.5.7 and iPC 10.5.6 install and boot only with the cpus=1 switch.

its an intel G43 chipset, am I stuck with 1 core? or is there some kind of bios mod or workaround? Any ideas?
