Osx86 on Emachine W3506
Hello,
I am new to all of this hackintosh stuff but I have installed JaS os 10.4.8 on me emachine w3506. I had many problems getting the installer to boot and then found by turning off my usb I could install. Afterwards I was able to turn them back on and Mac os x was able to run. Unfortunately the usb ports are not detected and they do not work in os x but they do work in windows still. Also I have a realtek HD audio installed and it does not work with os x. So I was wondering if anyone had a solution to these problems. Also if you could explain the situation on installing updates to os x. I would ultimately like to update to 10.4.10 or at least up to 10.4.9. So if you have any info please email me at: Trauiger84@yahoo.com. Thank you for your time.
Hello, I just wanted to update this post. I recently upgraded this emachine to the Toh Leopard 10.5.1. I now haave no problem with the installation but usb still does not work, neither does audio. However, all my ethernet ports work and I can get internet. I also recently installed a netgear W111 usb wireless adapter and have installed the mac driver from their website. But I then realized that usb still doesn't work. Are there anyways to get the usb and audio to work? Please advise, thank you very much.
