Default OSx86 on ASUS PTGD1-LA (HP Pavillion)

Just asking if anyone has installed OSx86 on an ASUS PTGD1-LA Motherboard, or on the HP Pavillion this board was factory fitted with. I picked up one of these boards recently going cheap...just to experiment with OSx86, but it would be helpful to know if anyone else has done this successfully before I go and waste more time/money that may not work. Any opinions on levels of success/hardware issues would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
