I am going to take the plunge and have a go at my first hackintosh. I am doing this because my macbook pro has died under warranty and apple had to be threatened with the disability rights act to pick up my mac. Previously they insisted I drive 3 hours to physically hand it in for repair. I am a wheelchair user and other aspects of my disability mean I can't do this.

I guess I have a good understanding of the install- I have MSIwindowsx86.iso and downloaded the new wifi drivers for the built in wifi card. My one concerns are:

1) audi!!! I can't find anywhere that explains how to get this to work and many folk report that it doesn't.

2) Also can anyone explain sleep mode?? I gather this doesn't work

3) Any general tips or links gratefully received

It is quite sad that I am so hacked off with apple to consider all of this but with my disability I really do need a laptop for work and even a week waiting for my macbook to be reapired is too long- then of course if it dies again!
