Nuubie needs a new dualboot all compatible CAD/3D machine
Hi all, I need to build myself a new workstation for CAD/3D work, which I would like to dualboot XP64 and Leo, and later Win7. Can anyone put me in the right direction for the most compatible hardware combination and the right distro to go with it? I would like to have a powerful Nvidia or ATI (can use gear from the Applestore), min 8GB RAM, Quad-Core Intel Xeon (or Core2Quad if I have to). As this system will be built from scratch I would like to purchase what will work thus be as compatible as possible. I am a seasoned Mac user (iMac2006, MacMini2006 & a MacBook 2007) but new to the hackintoshing scene
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Having thought about it, I would also like to use a retail install disc. With clues from the threads I've read so far I may be able to use one of my Macs to prepare the HD and install Leo on it externally and then move it to the hackintosh (apply the latest updates and clone it as a backup). ...dunno, just my idea atm.

Check the sticky to build your System, and read the dual boot section to know how to dual boot/triple boot your system, good luck
