Hackintosh Community -

I'm new to "hackintoshes", have extensive *nix experience, but am exploring the possibility of running Leopard on my co-hosted rack server. The hardware is old, but certainly powerful enough. Before I explored further I wanted to do what I could to find out whether a hackintosh solution would work with my hardware. One specific thing is that I've read certain types of processors might be required.

I have no trouble doing my own research, I'm not looking to have others do my work for me, but I am completely new to the process of getting OSX running on generic PC hardware. Below I've listed the two main bits of info that would be relevant for a PC running mac.

Supermicro X5DPR-TG2+
Super Micro Computer, Inc. - Products | Motherboards | Xeon Boards | X5DPR-TG2+
(has a full list of specs)

3Ware SATA Raid Controller
http://www.3ware.com/support/UserDoc...de-9.2.1.1.pdf
(details for hardware raid, driver support included in linux kernels ~2.6+)

If anyone could point me in the right direction (resources etc) for discovering what if any hurdles I might encounter with getting a hackintosh setup running on this hardware, it'd be greatly appreciated
