New Build with i7 920 and Intel x58 mobo
I just left my local CompUSA with the following items:
Intel i7 920
Intel DX58SO mobo (returned and getting the Gigabyte)
Corsair Dominator 6gigs DDR3 1600 (3x2)
Seagate 500 gig hard drive
Thermaltake 850w powersupply
The list I found on this site said this should work for my Hackintosh.
They did not have the 9800gt video card which was on the list.
What are my options if any. I will be wanting to run my 2 24" Samsung monitors.
please advise.

About the video my mistake try with 9800GTX, 8600GT, 8800GT, 9600 seems to work too...
Your Hardware seems to be nice
Question compusa ship every single item in one box? or they build the computer then sent it to you?

Sorry, I don't know. I walk in to the local store and purchased these items. If you need me to, I will check into the shipping for you I will.

I'm going out to buy a video card now.
Requesting some advice from someone familiar with this site to tell me where should I look to (which thread) to get started building my system. Maybe attach a link to a thread that has the dummy version. I hope to start tonight when I get back with the vc. Do I need some special software to get started? I have the disc that came with my MacBook Pro, will that work? It is OS X 10.5.6, I also have older disc that came with my MacMini and MacBook, one Leapord and one Tiger.
I have built several PC's so I have a general idea about the basic process and troubleshooting, but a little scared on this one.
Thanks, I can see this forum gets lots of traffic I can't wait to get this new machine up and running.

project changed for the better I hope. Did not want the issues trying this on the Intel dx58so board so I returned it and will be getting the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5. Since this is my first Hackintosh I would like it to be easier the trying the board that I can't find much info about.

Also got the 8800 GT 512 DDR3 video card.
