need help with a new build
Hi all!
I have few questions. Here's my plan:
mobo: gigabyte ep45-ud3r
cpu: core2duo e8400 3.0ghz
rm: 2gb ddr2 800mhz
video: 7600gt 256mb 128bit OR 8800 gt/gts ddr3 256bit 512mb/1024mb
(both seem to be very compatible)
dvd: pioneer sata dvd-rw
I dont have enough money yet, so for now I would like to use some of the parts of my current pc. Im not a hardcore gamer. I'll only play Warcraft III and Counter Strike Source.
My questions are:
1. Can SL be installed on IDE hdd? (i have an 80GB IDE hard disk)
2. Should I get 2gb ram or 4gb? 800mhz or 1033mhz?
3. Is the video card I've chosen ok for Snow Leopard in terms of performance? (I will not be gaming or doing any video editing on SL.)
Thanks!

WHat i think
1. Don't see why not
2. 4GB 100mhz
3. Your Graphics card should be ok for SL
Just remember to select the right packages when customising your install. I used the 10.6.2 Hazard SL Client - SL Server
