steps that i have done to install Leopard 10.5

1- i installed Leopard 10.5 using boot132 CD and it was .

2- i installed driver for LAN RealTek 8111c it was .

3- i Updated the system to 10.5.7 it was . ( still using boot132 to restart)

4- installed Driver for GF 9500GT and its oky.

5- i installed Charmeleon 2 for dual booting and it was , following this instruction which i believe it creates a folder and subfolders in the root

called as follow

6- i installed ALC888Audio.mpkg and AzaliaAudio.pkg and it creates folders with kext in the root as follow

/ALCBackup/AppleHDA.kext

/AzaliaBackup/ALCinject.kext
/AzaliaBackup/AppleHDA.kext 


but no lock for sound ( i think the miss in this step)

The Questions

1- how to fix ALC888 Audio, and make all 6 channels work?

2- Wrong information about the Memory, and prpcessor while the memory is 1333Mhz it shows 667, how to fix that? to let Mac read the correct information and use the right resources (CPU, Memory) , and if i modify the "About This Mac" (using OSx86 ools) is that going to cerrect it?

3- how to remove the ALC888Audio.mpkg and AzaliaAudio.pkg?

how did you fix it? I updated to 10.5.7 and lost my sound, tried updating the kext with osxtools but no luck

And for about this mac, you can try to fix it with osx86 tools or getting the right AppleSMBIOS, theres a pack too for 10.5.7 to fix some issue, google it

Have you tried Azalia driver for ALC888,
I found it on InsanleyMac forums...
It's about 100kb...
Worked for me..but I can only have 2 channel
output....
If you don't mind that use it...

but my AL888 ICH10 6 channels and the one you recommended is ALC88 ICH09
is it going to work?
and i found kext from Insanelymac web site but i can not down load the file even when i am loged in ( i can not write or search on that site) i dont know why.
