and also idk why but my ImTOO ISO BURNER software is kind of 'stuck' at 77%. it says "Time remaining 0:00:00" and its been saying that for like 30 mins, but its only at 77% done. yes my DVD had enough room. it was a 5GB DVD, and the file was only 4.3GB.
I dont recommend you or anybody to format a entire 1TB Hard Disk, you better make 2 or 3 Partitions, eg. Lets say in 2.

1- For OSX (Formated as Extended Journaled)
2- Backup Info (Formated as NTFS)

About your DVD, Try with Nero or Alcohol 120%, Slow Speed as you can if that fail.

1- Your DVD-R brand sucks much?
    2- Bad ISO
3- DVD Burned is DEAD x.x

Well, you see I already formatted it :/...well I am formatting it right now, but can I make 2 partitions again AFTER i format it? It has nothing on it, brand new 1TB HDD, so yeah. and are those ISO burners you listed free?

    I'm using a Playo DVD-R

and whats an Extended Journal? all I know is FAT32 and NTFS. those were my only 2 options that Vista gave me.

Yeah it doesnt matter, after you finish you format, go to disk management and delete the main partition (the only one), and make a new one, but this time use half space or a third part, your choice.

The burners program are not for free, just find the way to burn that ISO man, I believe you can use nero and alcohol for 30 days for free tho. Google for it

About the OSX Format, you'll do that part in the OSX installation, its called "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)"

    Have fun.

Alright..almost there now, but this time I actually finished burning the .ISO img. well, almost, its at 94% but its not stuck . so i'm guessing it'll work. and then tomorrow I'll delete that 1TB and then make it 500GB each side. just for clarification, what'll I do for the other 500GB? I know OS-X makes backups and stuff so can I use that 500GB for that?

    You better try this:

    Divide in 3 Parts

    1- Leopard
    2- Time Machine (Leopards backup)
3- Backup for windows (if you need it)

I don't need a backup for Windows, I have a 1TB Internal hard drive(OS-X and Time Machine) and I have a 160GB internal also. my Main C: for Windows was the 160GB but then my computer's power supply was broken, and while we had the case open, my brother and i was like "we got a 1TB HDD lying around, lets put it in your computer"
