Is my problem with hardware or am I not applying the correct patches?
I am trying to rig together an ideneb mac using ideneb v1.4. I am not sure if my hardware is the problem or if I am applying the incorrect fixes. I have tried a couple configs on install but all of them hang at the grey apply screen. I tried running in verbose mode several times but it crashes pretty quickly. This leaves me unable to read the lines that come up on the screen.
Ok, so here are my computer specs:
Mach Speed Matrix P4M800 Via Socket 478 MicroATX Motherboard
Socket
478
Chipset
The Matrix P4M800 motherboard is based on the Via P4M800 Northbridge chipset and the Via VT8237 Southbridge chipset. It supports Intel Pentium (up to 3.40GHz; Northwood & Prescott) and Celeron D Processors, with 533MHz Front Side Bus support.
Memory Expansion
2 dimm sockets w/ 333mhz/400mhz ddr ram
AGP Support
1 8x/4x agp slot.
IDE
supports Ultra DMA 33/66/100.
Audio
Realtek ALC655 audio codec.
Serial ATA Support
The Matrix P4M800 supports the Serial ATA technology through the Serial ATA interfaces.
CPU
Intel Celeron D 340 2.93Ghz / 256K Cache / 533 FSB / OEM / Socket 478 / Processor
s it a patch thing?
RAM
1gb of ultra ULT31664 PC3200 400MHz DDR RAM
I have also tired 2 different hard drives but I don't think they are the problem as I formatted them using the hard disk utility. I also wiped the drives each time I tried to install.
I am using the onboard gpu for now.
If you have any suggestions on at least getting to a point where I can start troubleshooting let me know.
Thanks.
