Exclamation Is my PC Hackint0sh material? Intel DG33FB, C2D E8200

I own a 2 year old PC with the following specifications:

    Processor - Core 2 Duo E8200 (2.66GHz)
    Motherboard - Intel Original DG33FB
GFX - Just on-board graphics right now, GMA 3100 with 256MB memory
    RAM - 1GB x 2 DDR2 667MHz

You think I'll be able to install and run Mac smoothly on this? Which version of iATKOS do you suggest I install? v5 or v7?

    Thanks a ton guys

Well, today I downloaded and installed iATKOS v4i on my laptop just for testing. The laptop is a HP Pavillion DV4-1211tu model.

Installation went smoothly, and I could log in fine the very first attempt! Was really happy, but got quite disappointed when I saw that I couldn't get Wifi and audio to work. Also, the screen resolution was fixed at 1024x768 and I had no options to change it.

Now I'm thinking of downloading iATKOS v7i for installing on my desktop computer. Since I couldn't get Disk Utility to format only the unallocated space as Mac partition during install on my laptop, I'm a bit worried and decided to get a new HDD for my desktop before I go on experimenting.

So what kind of HDD would be best for installing iATKOS v7? I'm asking because I read in many places that IDE HDDs are preferred for installing OS X rather than SATA2. So what should I buy? For the price of a 250GB IDE drive, a 500GB SATA2 is available! I'm confused. Am I likely to have problems if I go for a SATA2 instead of IDE? Urgent suggestions needed!
