I am pretty sure this question was asked a million times, but I have tried on an off with a few releases of Leopard for the last few hours.
My laptop is a Gateway T-1616 with Turion X2 / 2GB RAM & 120GB HDD.
I really need advice before I use my weekend trying to figure this out.

What happens is that it starts to freeze on install, and simple clicks animations are slowed down. This is even before the OS is loaded.
