Hi everyone,

This is my first attempt at hackintosh building, and so far it has gone fairly well. Here's my system (home audio studio application):

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3
CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2620
Memory: Corsair 16 GB DDR3 1600
GPU: ATI Radeon 5450 1GB
Audio: On board Realtec ALC898 (not enabled)
Audio: MOTU PCI-424 original in lone PCI slot (all other slots PCI-E)

I had to do some kext modifications to get the GPU working, but it's working fine now. However, I can't get any of the audio to run. I don't really care about the onboard audio (Realtec), but I would like to get the MOTU PCI-424 running for studio applications. The card is good (I dual boot with Win 8, which recognizes the card and uses it just fine). MOTU says their latest driver should recognize the PCI card, but it apparently doesn't.

I can see the card using lspci and IOReg. I'm wondering if there's some kind of issue with having multiple audio hardware present...do I need to modify some of existing audio kexts to get MOTU's driver to recognize the PCI card? The graphics card has an HDMI port on it (not being used), so if that needs to be disabled, I wouldn't be sorry...

Thanks,

DJ
