Default Motherboard for E6550 with Video/Audio/Lan onboard

    Hello All,

I am basically a Windows/AMD/Nforce guy for years and now I am trying to develop applications for iPhone on the Hacintosh/Intel/Intel platform which is so strange to me.

I would like to get suggestion on a good motherboard for Intel core2 duo 1333Mhz FSB processor with onboard V,S,L all supported by hackintosh out of the box preferably. I dont play games but watch a lot of videos so 1920x1080 support will be great. 5 channel or more sound. I am looking for a good performance board, price is not the deciding factor.

I like Asus boards but p5k and p5h are out of the market and p5q does not have an onboard graphics chip

I request any kind souls around here to help me out with this.

    With Regards
    Mathew

If you are using an Intel Core 2 Duo/ Core 2 Quad,
I would recommend an Intel DG33FB Classic Series Motherboard

    Amazon.com: Intel DG33FB Classic Series G33 ATX DDR2 800 PCIe x16 1333MHz FSB LGA775 Desktop Board - Retail: Electronics

    Its $126 on amazon.

Tell me whats your processor and graphics card, so i can give an specific name.

Ive been using this motherboard, with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 and 2GB RAM, and iDeneb 1.3 (10.5.5) works GREAT.

    Good Luck !

    Thank you for the suggestion.
I am planning to buy the same.

My processor choice is E6550/6750/6850 for the 1333Mhz FSB

I dont plan to buy an additional graphics card and thats why I want a board that has it onboard. DG33FB has Intel GMA 3100 on it which is good. Anyone know whether it supports 1920x1080 res?

if some one can suggest me a better mobo with one more ide or more sata, a DVI,HDMI or TV output, or even just a better performer thats fully compatible with hacintosh, that would be great. Else I will go for this one.

    Thanks
    Mathew

Thanks for the tip icchansan, I have checked the spec and found that there are two chips 3100 and X3100.

I have also found a thread here that says "steps to install on dg33fb"

so i think, 3100 is ok.
