    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EX58-EXTREME
Processor: Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition
    Memory: 6 GB Corsair Dominator - DDR3-1866
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 2600XT PCI-e X16
Hard drive: 2* Western Digital 500 GB 7200 rpm SATA

The ATI Radeon HD 2600XT will be swapped for a new video card in 3-4 months (most likely ATI Radeon HD 5870 possibly crossfired)

I intend to run Windows 7 on one of the drives and Mac OSX on the other one. Thanks for any help that can be provided.
Install Method: iDeneb 1.4 (Leopard 1.5.6)

Your installation drive should be connected to port0 of the ICH10R, put your DVD drive wherever as long as it is on the ICH10R.

EFI & Bootloader (out of the box), Voodoo 9.5.0 kernel + nvDarwin
Ati Xt 2600 drivers (normally included in 10.5.6 and above updates

Thanks for the reply, king. I've downloaded various (5 in fact) copies of iAtkos 7, and when I burn then to dvd, not one copy booted. And yes, I am capable of burning ISOs.

Any ideas? Or any other distros? For giggles, I am at this very moment trying ideneb 1.5.1

Default iAtkos v7 install issues... need some guidance.

    Hi,

As expected, I have encountered a similar problem with iAtkos v7.

Im assuming it has something to do with how drivers were customized during the installation.

I'm not a complete noob, but I am limited to using a GUI. no terminal exp.

I have no problems booting into the install DVD and using Disk Utilities to format the partition.

    First boot goes like this:

    No problems booting:

    No ethernet, no wifi.
---It's a Marvell Yukon 88056.. I think I installed both kexts on last install.
    (this is probably the issue?)
---Wifi is an Intel PCI-E chip (no kexts available in customize. I'm assuming I can install this later.)

VGA default to 1024x768 detecting 32MB on the VRAM.
---I'm going to try NVenabler as suggested on this install.

Sound Works Great, mic im unsure, motion eye internal cam has not been tested yet.

Trackpad and Keyboard work with Voodoo + trackpad
---The windows key does not represent CMD(apple key). Closing windows is a pain.. I'm guessing my hotkeys are gonna be all jacked up.

Did not do speedstep or throttling
Did not install BIOS or Chipset kexts
    Don't know what ACPI is.

Here are as much of the specs as I can get:

There is limited documentation regarding this notebook.
    Any help will be appreciated!
fyi: I have a very crappy cell phone image with the hardware profile on it.

    Sony Vaio VGN-FZ280E

    2.0 Ghz C2D T7250
    250 GB SATA
    2 GB RAM
    Sony 2X Blu-Ray R/RW
    NVIDIA 8400M GT
    Intel 4965 AGN wireless LAN
    Marvel Yukon 88056 10/100

dont know if this is relevant...
Intel Corporation, Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory Controller Hub

Thanks!. Anxious to see this since I do have a dual-xeon powermac g5 with leopard =)

note: 1220P 10/22 tried as many relative kexts in customize as i could be sure of (scrounging the forums) and I got a hangup during install -_-. I will try NVenabler and Marvel 88056 only.
