    CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W
    GPU : 2x SLI BFG Tech BFGEGTX260896OCE GeForce GTX 260 896MB 448-bit

    Default Core i7 Hackintosh questions

    Okay, so I have:

    ASUS P6T-SE Motherboard
    Core i7 920
    MSI Radeon HD 4850 OC
    OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 6GB RAM
    WD Caviar Black 640GB HDD
    SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD+R DL 22X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 22X DVDR DVD Burner LightScribe Support - OEM
    Netgear WG311v3 PCI Wireless Adapter

I think that's my hardware specs. I read somewhere there are kexts for the Asus P6T-SE, but I've never done a hackintosh before, just VMs. I have a Powerbook g4 from way back when, so I can put the DMG from my retail disk onto the USB stick I think, but the instructions for chameleon, and installing OS X in general are very vague.

    Thanks

    Hi all, I currently have:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz
    Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
    4GB DDR3 RAM
    nvidia 8800GT
I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and hackintosh this setup.

Would a Sapphire HD 4870 1GB be a good choice?

How tough would this be to hackintosh?

    Thanks
