Thanks for all your help on my build. I was able to replace the motherboard and everything has been smooth sailing from that point on. So those of you building - keep your patience in check!

Now I have the problem that my HD is not recognized as an internal drive. I've been trying to see how I can get the boot files on it so it can just boot directly from the main HD, but I'm still booting from the thumb drive - selective the internal drive during start up.

The drive disappeared and went "poof" when I tried placing it in the terminal so I could install boot files onto it. I don't really know what to do at this point. I can see the drive with an interal icon in the disc utility, and file access and everything is fine but the drive does not show up in my finder.

I'm currently able to use the OS as normal, but I can't get it to boot without selecting the drive in the process.

Anything would be helpful.
