    Default Looking to Build Media Mac on Shuttle Barebone

    I'm looking to build a media Mac on a shuttle barebone kit - some of the ones I'm looking at are.

    SN78SH7
    SG33G5
    SG45H7
    SN78SH7


    also a big deal is HDMI - will HDMI work on these so I can output to my television?

    I have no idea what are those, please the specs, did you search in the forum or the HCL theres a couple barebones around.

    Actually its like my system XD, should work without problem well I have ALC888S, I hope it work with ALC888DD, maybe with voodoo HDA... Everything else looks compatible, your video is kinda tricky, some ppl dont get it working so pray XD

    Brandon, looking at the above, it looks promising. Choose a Core 2 Duo processor and 2 gigs of RAM. I've seen support for all of the above hardware in the iDeneb install.

    The only question I had was this: CHIPSET Intel G33 + ICH9DH. I've seen support for the G31 and ICH either 7 or 10. but perhaps someone else here might know more.

    As far as HDMI out, go to the 10.5.6 HCL and look up a variety of PCI-e video cards to see if they have that capability.

    The form factor of the machine shouldn't matter one bit, just the circuitry inside.
