iPhone sync to hackintosh failing?
I can't seem to get my iPhone (1.1.1 jailbroken but not unlocked) to sync, or even connect, to my hackintosh. Specifically, I get the following anytime I connect the iPhone in my system.log:
usbmuxd[125]: Ignored interface, IOCreatePlugInInterfaceForService failed: 0xe00002c7
I'm running 10.4.11, although I forget whose ISO I used. Under System Profiler it does show the iPhone, but iTunes doesn't see it and I get that message above. Some googling turned up one entry that hints it might be some IO service that's not registered, but no useful information.
I've reinstalled iTunes 7.5, then tried downgrading to 7.4, then reupgraded to 7.5. I've cleared my Extensions.kextcache and .mkext, I've rebooted several times. My system uses UHCI (after trying all of these things I moved the EHCI and UHCI drivers to / temporarily to test things out, but removing them only removed a few warnings on boot about EHCI not being able to work and didn't affect my iPhone or other USB devices). Other USB devices are recognized - I've got a RT2500 WLAN device and a USB mouse and they work just fine. If I have to use my old G4 to sync I will, but I'd much rather be able to sync with my hackintosh as it's more portable. Any ideas?

Re: iPhone and Hackintosh
Did you ever get this working? I"m having the same problem with 10.5.2...

No, but after switching and using a different computer it does see it. I suspect it's a USB driver issue, but no proof of that. I did try removing and reinstalling the Apple Mobile Device support but that didn't help any.
