intel G33 / GMA 3000 supported? possible to combine with other gfxcard?

Hi

I am up to get a new PC and it should be able to run OSX86.

I want to get a intel system with this mainboard:

Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R, G33 (dual PC2-6400U DDR2)
Specs: G33/ICH9R • µATX • VGA/USB 2.0/FireWire/Gb LAN/6x SATA II RAID/7.1 Audio (ALC889A) • 1x PCIe x16, 1x PCIe x4, 2x PCI • unterstützt Intel Core 2 Duo/Extreme/Quad 45nm • unterstützt FSB 333MHz (1333MHz)

It has an onboard gfx chip (intel GMA 3100). Is this onboard grafik fully supported in OSX86? Is CI/QE enabled?

Now I would like to have a fast gf card that seems to be not yet supported in OSX86 - a Radeon 2900pro.

Is it possible to use the onboard grafik unit in OSX86 while using the 2900pro in windows for games? If so, how could this be done?

just realized that it is a GMA 3100, not 3000

No, the 3000/3100/X3000/X3100 gfx chipsets aren't supported at the moment.
As far as I know, noone is working on writing drivers for these.

We'll probably have to wait until the next batch of macbooks, or imacs/mac mini's before these cards are supported..

2900pro - R600.. unsupported cause lack of testers.

I would test it but hate to admit that i first need to get kernel working on my damn asus p5n32-e sli mobo... 10.4.8 is the latest version w/o problems works on it, or 10.4.9 update with 10.4.8's kernel... so i cant test it for some reason (mobo and nforce is the one i beleive to be the reason of all...) sorry guys... just gave up on os x for a while... until leo comes...

I have installed Leopard using ToH DVD on Gigabyte GA-G33-DS3R and gma 3100 does not work. I have tried to modifie kext files, but no luck. The new MacBook have different chipset (GM965) and kext files have different device ID comparing to G33.

I have installed OSX Leopard on the same Gigabyte motherboard. I have not been abe to get the GMA 3100 graphics working. Otherwise the system runs great. It's only a mater of time. The netit.kext file doesn't work with the system and will lead to the "blue screen" . There are 3100 drivers in Leopard so I assume it's a matter of getting the right netit.kext file?

Intel confused its customers....
x3100 and GMA 3100 aren't the same.

GMA3100 is GMA950 modified to support
4-core, DDR2-800, and 1333 FSB.

x3100 is a new chipset with more advanced
features.

Hi there!
time goes by... and do we have any solution for this? Any kind of driver to make GMA3100 (desktop - not GMAX3100) work with all enabled? (in kalyway 10.5.2 only working at 1024x768@60hz, no QE/CI, no kext loaded)
