Should work, try with the latest distros, you will need a patched kernel like voodoo, prepare yourself before install looking similar systems in the HCL and go for it
Can you post the video card?

First time tryst with MAC OS
I am a total noob in case of MAC OS but I have been working with PCs since PCDOS 3.0. Now I want to try installing MAC OS X on my system.
Hardware specs are as follows:
AMD PHENOM X3 2.3GHz 3.5 MB Total L2+L3 Cache
ASUS M3N78-EM Mother Board
2GB DDR2 PC800 x2 RAM
500GB Hitachi SATA HDD
LG Super multi DVD Writer IDE
On Board graphics nVidia GEFORCE 8300
On Board Realtek Audio Chip set
Please let me know the best OS version and what else I may need . Also please point to a step by step tutorial for clean install
Note: By the way I have downloaded the snowleopard_10a433_serverdvd.dmg will it be OK by the way how to burn the same to DVD I am using WIN XP SP3 OS at present
Thanking you all in anticipation
