Default iDeneb 1.3 ACER Aspire 5630 Network crazy issues

    Hi there,
I have installed iDeneb with the default and anyother kernel available. I have/have not applied the remove FireWire patch.
However although the network is recognized and if I type ifconfig there is en0 interface, the network configuration from system settings always shows that the cable is unplugged. No matter how many times I will boot with a different kernel. Always the network doesn't understand that the cable is plugged in.

In Linux everything works fine. My card is supported and it is the one you see below with the output of lspci command in Linux. Any ideas what can I do to fix it? Also the sleep doesn't work. I mean the PC goes to sleep, but doesn't wake up at all. Ideas?

    Hi there!

I've this same hardware for ethernet and noticed a strange thing: I can make this card work only if I boot in Windows and, when the lights are on, I force a halt (holding power button down for a while). The computer turns off and then the ntework card lights keep blinking and, when I boot in MacOSX 10.5.6 the ethernet works fine, including green icon on ethernet in Network Configuration in System Settings. The it works fine everytime till I boot in Linux or Windows (turning off the latter in a proper way). Then I must to repeat the forced halt on windows (I didn't try this under Linux, since I don't want to mess the filesystem there) to get the card working again.

It seems some acpi management problem to me...

Hope to hear from you guys!

    Thanks in advance, lymber...
