Should work, did you try to install already? try following munkys guide or try with any of the lastest distros like iAtkos v7 or ideneb
For reference read about how to install in nforces chipset, you may need a patched kernel voodoo, theres guides for your mobo, google a bitHP Pavilion Elite m9250f
