Default I have no clue where to start.

Hey guys. I need some major help. I've been browsing around, reading different threads and such, and I can't help but say that I'm confused. What's with all these different versions I see? And what's the difference between what installers?

I have a Gateway T-6836 laptop. I'm already triple-booting Windows XP, Vista, and Ubuntu (installed in that order), and plan to add OSX86 as the 4th one. This laptop should be suitable for whatever it needs. Core 2 Duo (T5750?) 2.0Ghz processor, 4gb ram, supports SSE2 and SSE3. The question is which installer I'm supposed to use and how I can go about installing this when GRUB is my boot manager. Vista is also my boot manager, in a sense, as grub goes into vista's manager when i choose windows (to choose between xp or vista), So i guess I can somehow work around and install it to the Vista boot manager instead if grub is a hassle.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks alot!.

    Hiya there, check this list

Check if your laptop is there or similar, check what they do to make it, if there no clue about it, then you have to try, download a couple distro, like leo4all v3 or JaS, Good Luck ;D

Yeah, I think I found a couple of similar ones. They both worked and they both used the same distro, so I'm going to try that when I have time (which is, sadly, gonna be a while from now...sigh).

    Thank you very much! =)

    EDIT
Sorry, another question. What's JaS OSx86 10.5.4 Client Server Intel SSE2 SSE3? One of the reports on that wiki said that he/she installed that one after with same results. Is it just a different distro from the other one he/she used (Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel AMD DVD)?

And if so, what's the difference between the two, and which is (not in terms of compatibility, but in general) better?

Eh well kalyway its kinda old, for leo 10.5.1 and 10.5.2, but good (they all are good), kalyway is good for AMD I guess~ JaS is 10.5.4 like you said. Try them and check which one work better in your system

okay, i came across some trouble in my installation process. When I get up to choosing my destination, nothing appears. What should I do?

If it has anything to do with the sata drive, i dont think there's an option for me to turn it off in the bios, so iono wat to do there.

    Thanks.

Use Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. In Disk Utility, Select your Partition, and format you should choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled). After partitioning, quit Disk Utility to return to the Leopard Installer.

    Then Select the Destination ;P

yeap, that did the trick. Thanks.

    Now, yet another problem -.-

Keyboard cannot be detected? I read around a few places for the solution to this, like repairing the permissions and kext unload/load. Neither worked. For the first option, i got stuck when it said that it couldnt find ApplePS2Controller.kext...im assuming the file isnt there. For the second one, it utilized the "nano" command, which bash didnt recognize. So now, I'm stuck once again. Wow, this is harder than I thought. Any clue?
