How to find if my build is compatible with OSX
So a few weeks ago I purchased a new desktop PC, I built it as a powerhouse gaming machine and am thinking it would be cool to dual boot into OSX, as a Mac pro (for my graphic design and I already own final cut)
I just wanna know if there is a list of parts somewhere that will tell me if I'm compatible or not. Also what would be the best method for installing this? I own a LEGAL copy of Snow Leopard but am not against 'other' methods if the need be.
My set up is
Intel i7 920 2.66Ghz
Two ATI Radeon 4860's (in a crossfire configuration)
OCZ Gold 240-Pin DDR3 160 (PC3 12800)
1.5Tb Seagate 5900RPM
Asus P6T LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Motherboard
LG DVD/CD Burner
(I don't know if the heatsink/PSU are important but it doesn't hurt to ask)
Cool MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle
Cool Master Silent Pro 600W
I would say I'm fairly adept with computers but alot of my expertise is with windows, so terminal is new ground for me (If you could direct me to a noob friendly guide)
Thanks guys, hopefully I'll be rocking a Hackintosh soon enough.
