Default hardware compatibility check, help needed

I'm new here and can't find out few things.
Well, what I'd like to know is if my PC can run OSX without any (at least major) problems, and if yes, what distro should I use (and where to get it?)?
I'm most concerned about chipset, but maybe I shouldn't be?
    here are my specs:

And I've got one nec DVD, one PATA samsung HDD and two SATA samsung f1 HDDs. The DDR2 memories are produced by GoodRam, but I don't really think that changes anything... and there's some basic keyboard and optical mouse, both from logitech, if that matters.
Oh, and a turtle beach montego stereo soundard (yes, the old vortex) - would that be a problem? I can change it for and old SB live! 5.1 which lies on the shelf, or well eventualy I could use an integrated realtek from mobo, but that one's so crappy I'd prefer to never hear it again...

and one more thing. I use an LCD TV (samsung le32m71b) as a monitor, and it needs 1366x768 or 1360x768 resolution to look fine...would it be a problem? I've heard that OSX fully supports HDTV resolutions, but well this one is neither 720p nor 1080p...just some ~16:9 WXGA...

    thanks in advance,
