    Default

    northbridge = Intel P45
    southbridge = intel ICH10r
    audio chipset = alc1200
    onboard ethernet = Atheros L1E

    You may want to try install with boot-132 + Retail Leo, or use IPC 10.5.6 or iDeneb 1.4 (use vanilla kernel, ICHx, DSDT, nvdarwin or nvinject)
    Set storage controller to operate in AHCI / Raid Mode.

    Not sure about the NIC and Audio.

    Thumbs up

    OK, I appreciate the reply. Yes my bad the NIC is onboard. From what I see I should be fine and was planning on trying to install with boot-132 + Retail Leo. Sound I could always try it or replace it with something that would work, but overall I hope the RIG can work out as I want to have a (stable / good performing) Desktop Mac to compliment my Macbook.

    Oh maybe this would be better Doh!

    Onboard Audio
    Audio Chipset Realtek ALC1200
    Audio Channels 8 Channels

    Thanks again.

    Yeah, sound is something you can definitely try to get going later.
    The main thing here is to get the system to boot correctly with an ethernet connection.

    Sound and graphic can be fixed later. (in your case, I don't think you will have problem with graphic)

    dtube thanks for the help on the above specs. I think you are right the LAN option on my mobo from what I've seen online at the moment is the BIG issue in my case. I found the driver for the GPU, and onboard sound lastnight.

    WOW still trying to find out if anyone has had success with this onboard LAN with 132 and Retail LEO. Will update if I find anything out there.

    Default Just a thought while I get my gear ready...

    Since my/the “Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller” is a no go from what I’ve found online. Can anyone recommend a compatible supported PCI network card I can buy so my MacPro-Black has a network connection?
