    Default audio card recommend

I would like to use the i5 750 combo but need advice for a good audio card. I want it to be as daw like as possible (for use with logic and other music programs.) Basically, a high end card most compatible with build and most recent working os. TY

Hi, I want to do a dual boot of Win7 and OSX. I have Win7 Pro already installed and this is my hardware list:

    Intel C2D E8400 (OCed to 3.875GHz)
Asus P5Q-Pro (with latest BIOS from Asus)
    OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066
ASUS EAH4850 512MB (OCed, I forgot the settings)
Western Digital WD3200AAJS 320GB (OS and Programs)
    HITACHI Deskstar 7K1000 750GB (Files)
    SAMSUNG SH-S223Q DVD Burner
    OCZ OCZ600SXS 600W
    ASUS My Cinema-PE9400 TV Tuner

I read that the mobo is do-able after a 3rd party BIOS upgrade, but the link is dead. The video card is questionable. I dont care if my tv tuner will work on OSX.

    Thank you.

Heya guys i'm a complete noob here in Hackintosh'.

I'm looking for a Hackintosh set-up which is Mid-range you know like an i3 or core 2 duo or something like that with no bios changing or anything if thats posible ? just a build the pc, put a standard retail disc in (10.6.4) from the apple store if thats accepted ?! and install OSX. i'm not being lazy i just want it to be as simple as possible so within time i can build more challenging Hacks and also please give me if you can the list of things which would lead to this kind of setup.

    Mobo:
    Cpu:
    Gpu:
    Ram:
    Etc

If someone can get me this kind of hackintosh setup i will be very very very grateful.

    Cheers Guys

    icchansan,

I read your post and you said that the gigabyte baord is compatible and they are good boards to use, is there a certain bootloader or distro you used to get it up and running? I have tried sevral bootloaders and the retail dvd but no luck and then tried a distro and it installed but won't boot, please help!!

I want to try to find a way to use the retail disk!! Thanks!!!
